Crypto Trader Bets $1B on Bitcoin’s Future Surge

Wynn’s substantial trade underscores rising confidence in Bitcoin’s potential peak, mirroring broader market optimism.

Wynn, a self-proclaimed “high-risk leverage trader,” established the enormous Bitcoin position on Hyperliquid, leveraging 40 times, marking one of the largest trades on a blockchain. His confidence points to a Bitcoin rally beyond $115,000.

Initially starting his Bitcoin purchase from $400,000, Wynn expanded his leverage significantly, increasing his exposure to over $1 billion by the end of the week. His position faced volatile swings, reflecting Bitcoin’s dynamic market behavior.

Bitcoin’s price fluctuations have resulted in Wynn’s position experiencing significant gains and losses. At one stage, a $17 million paper profit was noted, along with a $15.6 million unrealized loss during market volatility.

Experts speculate potential outcomes from Wynn’s trade, considering Bitcoin’s historical trends and current market sentiments. Recent past predictions by analysts, such as Bitcoin reaching $120,000 by July 2025, support this bold trade.

Wynn’s involvement with Hyperliquid has amplified his market influence, setting new examples for large-scale blockchain trades. The move could signal evolving capabilities of decentralized exchanges, prompting closer scrutiny by regulatory bodies.

“Bitcoin is dying to breakout higher. My target remains the same of 115-118k by the end of next week. However, could easily happen within a matter of hours even. I do think once bitcoin will top around 118k-122k and we’ll see a cool off and some sideways movement and then this is where things get really interesting.” – James Wynn, Pseudonymous Crypto Trader, X (formerly Twitter)
