ConsenSys launches personal testnet for zkEVM option scalability

Metamask wallet mother or father business ConsenSys has announced a personal testnet for zkEVM, which should really set up a new era of scalability for the Ethereum ecosystem.

The ConsenSys advancement group explained:

“zkEVM testnet participants will be ready to connect tokens, transfer tokens and interact with the distributed Dapps listed on our subsequent ecosystem portal web page.

We strategy to locate out if the developer skills of zkEVM has the likely to drive innovation in Web3, and we will assess neighborhood suggestions to inform the subsequent stage of the solution.”

After Polygon’s outstanding zkEVM launch with public testnet announced in October 2022, ConsenSys has been producing constant efforts to pursue this option, as a substitute of selecting ZK-Rollup on isolated and non-EVM compatible networks.

User familiarization with the new ConsenSys zkEVM will commence in January 2023. Finally, the business explained that there are at present no facts on how the initial testers will be rewarded or if a new zkEVM token will be launched.
