Cryptocurrency TGE Day by Orbiter Finance & Azuki Anime

Orbiter Finance, a prominent Layer-2 (L2) scaling solution, and Anime, a project affiliated with Azukihas announced the dates of its Token Generation Event (TGE), both scheduled for the same week.

Coincidentally, these dates coincide with the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump, allowing forward-looking traders and investors to prepare strategies amid volatile expectations.

Orbiter Finance Announces TGE Date

In an announcement on X (Twitter), Orbiter Finance revealed the TGE date for its OBT Token, set for Monday, January 20. The token generation event is expected to reward pioneers and participants in the Orbiter Finance ecosystem. Details on eligibility and distribution mechanisms are expected to be announced as the event approaches.

“Orbiter Finance TGE Token on January 20, 2025,” announced read.

The announcement details the network’s growth journey since its inception three years ago. It has attracted 4.3 million users, processed more than $28 billion in transactions, and completed more than 35 million transactions. Notably, a decentralized development team of smart contract experts and engineers developed the project.

“This airdrop event is a mark of gratitude to our amazing community that has supported and shaped our journey from the beginning,” Orbiter more.

OBT is an ERC-20 governance and utility token designed to advance the protocol’s vision of an omni-chain future and the ubiquity of Web3 technologies. It will be launched on Ethereum, Arbitrum and Base networks with a total supply of 10 billion.

The announcement comes just five months after Orbiter Finance reported $50 million in annual revenue, reflecting increased adoption of L2 solutions. However, the journey is not always smooth. Two years ago, Orbiter Finance faced a cybersecurity incident when hackers attacked its Discord server with a fake airdrop scam.

TGE Of Anime And Community Reaction

OBT TGE is one of the list of Token creation events scheduled to take place next week. ANIME, the token powering the Anime open universe, sets a TGE date of January 23, 2025, just three days after OBT launches.

“ANIME will premiere on January 23,” network share.

Anime’s TGE event is generating attention among airdrop hunters and NFT collectors. In particular, its unique attribution mechanism, using Collector Score (CS) points instead of just owning NFTs, has attracted interest. Murkiwaters, an airdrop hunter, detailed the potential of ANIME allocations.

“With a fully diluted capitalization of 2 billion USD, 1 CS point is worth 30 USD, a total of 25 million CS points are expected. Base CS score: Azuki (1,000), Elementals (100), Beanz (67), Bobu (4),” Murkiwaters share.

Furthermore, the airdrop hunter also noted significant values for each NFT, pointing out $30,000 for Azuki, $3,000 for Elementals, $2,010 for Beanz, and $120 for Bobu. However, not everyone is impressed with the market reaction. NFT investor LilStovetop noted the lack of significant price increases for Anime-related NFTs despite the announcement.

“ANIME’s TGE was set for January 23, but now that the date is announced (6 days away), we are not seeing a significant spike in the price floor like we saw with the Penguins. Azuki: 13.5 ETH Elementals: 1.67 ETH Beanz: 0.81 ETH Why is that,” investor ask questions.

Hyperliquid HYPE Holders will also receive Anime Token airdrops, which will boost community engagement.

Upcoming Token Generation (TGE) events for OBT and ANIME highlight the growing momentum in blockchain innovation. Orbiter Finance’s launch of OBT demonstrates its commitment to building a decentralized and scalable ecosystem. Meanwhile, Anime’s community-led approach highlights the growing synergy between NFTs and Tokenized economies.
