Jane the beaver, the mayor of Tampa, Florida, has announced that she will accept her salary in Bitcoin.
According to some sources who attended just lately Bitcoin & Blockchain Summit in Florida (November four-five, 2021), Castor announced that she will accept a challenge to obtain her salary in Bitcoin in the long term. The feedback came on the 2nd day of the summit, which was held at Amalie Arena in downtown Tampa.
Event participants stated Castor will function with Network C’s crypto lending platform to facilitate payments.
Castor’s feedback stick to Miami Mayor Francis Suarez’s announcement that he will obtain his following paycheck totally in BTC, marking a 1st for mayors nationwide.
Eric Adams, the newly elected mayor of New York, also announced that he will obtain his 1st 3 salaries totally in Bitcoin. Adams stated his objective is to make New York City “the center of the crypto industry.”
