– Carlitos Rejala (@carlitosrejala) July 9, 2021

Rejala’s preceding statements at first sparked speculation that Paraguay would have prompted Paraguay to adhere to in El Salvador’s footsteps, or to develop a law declaring bitcoin a legal type of program. However, he later on clarified people remarks, telling Reuters that his bill targeted on laws.

“We also want regulators and banking institutions to be concerned so that Paraguayans or foreigners can legally trade with these assets, for the reason that we know that there are unlawful transactions right here and in other nations. We want to be a cryptocurrency pleasant nation. “

On the query of adopting the identical technique as El Salvador, Rejala mentioned:

“It’s a digital asset bill and it’s different from El Salvador because they treat it like a fiat currency and it wouldn’t be possible to do that in Paraguay.”
