Asset management company Bitwise has released ten optimistic forecasts for the Cryptocurrency market in 2025. Among them, Bitcoin is expected to touch the $200,000 mark by the end of next year, and companies holding large Cryptocurrency investments could see significant growth in the stock market.
Bitwise Predicts 2025 Will Be the Golden Year of Cryptocurrency
Company expected Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana will reach record highs. While Bitcoin and Solana have touched new peaks recently, Ethereum has lagged behind.
However, Ethereum’s total value locked (TVL) climbed to its highest level since 2022, indicating recovery potential. For Solana, this is easier to understand, as meme coin activity on the network has consistently created multiple bull cycles for SOL this year.
“The media wants to portray Cryptocurrency’s political efforts in a negative light. In fact, that’s how democracy works. If you are faced with what you consider to be inappropriate regulation, the only response may be the one mentioned above,” write Matt Hougan, CIO of Bitwise.
Bitwise also predicts that Coinbase will join the S&P 500 and MicroStrategy will enter the Nasdaq-100. These changes will significantly increase the exposure of Cryptocurrencies to American investors. These predictions have begun to come true.
Bloomberg ETF analysts expect MicroStrategy to be added to the Nasdaq-100 on December 23, with an announcement expected this week.
“MSTR will likely be added to QQQ on December 23 (with an announcement on December 13). Moderna will likely be eliminated (symbolically). S&P 500 could be added next year. Here’s our best estimate of what will happen. We don’t work at Nasdaq,” said ETF analyst Eric Balchunas write on X (formerly Twitter).
This is based on the fact that MicroStrategy’s stock price has increased nearly 450% year to date. Furthermore, Bitcoin’s $100,000 milestone placed the company in the top 100 public companies in the US.
Bitwise also predicts the number of countries with Bitcoin reserves will double. These projects are not impossible. As TinTucBitcoin previously reported, Russian lawmakers have proposed a national Bitcoin reserve. Vancouver in Canada is also exploring a similar initiative.
Meanwhile, in the US, there is strong optimism for Bitcoin reserves, as Trump promised during his election campaign. The report also forecasts a sharp increase in stablecoin market assets, which could reach $400 billion, supported by expected passage of US legislation.
This morning, Ripple received approval from NY to issue its RLUSD stablecoin, which could signal major growth for the US stablecoin market.
Overall, it is clear that Bitwise’s prediction appears to be in line with current industry activities. Therefore, it will not be too surprising if all these predictions come true by 2025.
