Disgraced FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried has officially been extra as a witness to this week’s congressional hearing on the crypto exchange’s disintegration.
According to a new government memo, the former CEO of the bankrupt crypto firm is becoming referred to as to testify in advance of the House Financial Services Committee on December 13 at ten a.m. EST).
Also referred to as as a witness was John J. Ray III, who took more than as CEO of FTX final month right after Bankman-Fried stepped down.
Ray will testify for Bankman-Fried, who is accused of mishandling consumer money by lending funds to his other companies, bad possibility management and market place manipulation.
Earlier this week, Democratic Representative Maxine Waters, who heads the economic companies committee, stated emphasize Bankman-Fried to attend the hearing.

However, Bankman-Fried stated he would limit in what he could say in his testimony as he did not have accessibility to the required information.
“I still don’t have access to much of my data – professional or personal. So there’s a limit to what I can say and I won’t be as helpful as I would like. But since the committee still thinks it will be useful, I am willing to testify on the 13th.”
