The city of Jackson, in the US state of Tennessee, continues to investigate the new possible of cryptocurrencies as it seeks to accept Bitcoin (BTC) for home tax payments.

Jackson Mayor Scott Conger announced on July sixteen that the city’s blockchain undertaking force has launched a review on possible approaches for accepting Bitcoin home tax payments in the city.

The blockchain staff is also exploring how to permit city normal workers (DCA) to invest in smaller sized quantities of Bitcoin at standard intervals. Many research have confirmed that purchasing Bitcoin by DCA is the finest system for accumulating Bitcoin.

The hottest move comes as an update to the City of Jackson’s crypto-connected programs, which have been announced by Conger in April of this 12 months. Jackson has been actively searching for options to spend city workers in cryptocurrency, adopt Bitcoin mining operations, and invest immediately in BTC. Conger has hinted that the city could also be contemplating enabling payments in other coins like Ether (ETH) and Litecoin (LTC).

As Cointelegraph previously reported, Conger has followed in the footsteps of Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, who pushed the city of Miami to accept tax and salary payments in Bitcoin. Conger is also acknowledged for his use of a “laser eye” avatar, a prominent meme in the crypto local community in favor of Bitcoin reaching the $a hundred,000 value stage. At the time of creating, Bitcoin is trading at $32,232, up two.six% in excess of the previous 24 hrs, in accordance to information from Binance.
