Altcoin season is underway, and as usual, many non-Bitcoin cryptocurrencies are attracting the attention of many traders. Thanks to this change in dynamics, today’s hot altcoin list includes tokens whose prices have skyrocketed over the past 24 hours.
These increases are likely related to increased demand and high trading volumes. According to CoinGecko, the top three altcoins making headlines include Bertram The Pomeranian (BERT), Koma Inu (KOMA), and Hyperliquid (HYPE).
Bertram The Pomeranian (BERT)
On Monday, BERT was on the hot altcoin list. During that period, the token attracted significant interest when former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao interacted with the project account on X (formerly Twitter).
Today, BERT is in the spotlight because its price has increased significantly. Within the past 24 hours, the value of this Meme Coin has increased by 35% and is trading at 0.12 USD. From a technical standpoint, the 4-hour chart shows an increase in the Bull Bear Power index (BBP).
When BBP falls, it means the bears are in control and the price is likely to fall. But since this index is in positive territory, it means that Meme Coin Solana will probably continue to grow.
If this happens, the altcoin value could increase to $0.18 in the short term. However, if selling pressure increases, this may not happen. Instead, BERT could drop to $0.072.
Koma Inu (KOMA)
Another Token on today’s hot altcoin list is Koma Inu, a Meme Coin built on BNB Chain. KOMA is in the spotlight as its price has increased by 71% over the past 24 hours, coinciding with the day BNB reached a new high.
On the 4-hour chart, Koma Inu has formed a “golden cross”. This is when the shorter Exponential Moving Average (EMA) crosses the longer one. As illustrated below, the 20 EMA (blue) has crossed the 50 EMA (yellow).
Thus, KOMA price can climb to $0.086 as long as it overcomes the overhead resistance at $0.073. Conversely, if the Token fails to overcome this obstacle, the price could drop to $0.063.
Hyperliquid (HYPE)
Since its launch, Hyperliquid has appeared on today’s list of featured altcoins multiple times, mainly due to its price. Today is no different, HYPE price continues to increase following the Token Distribution Event (TGE).
Over the past 24 hours, HYPE price has increased 43.40% to $12.95. Its 24-hour trading volume has also surpassed $270 million, showing notable interest in this token.
If volume and price continue to increase, HYPE could move closer to $15. Conversely, if selling pressure increases, this may not happen and the altcoin may decline.
