Sam Altman, OpenAI’s CEO, founded the World Network, formerly known as Worldcoin. The project, managed by World Assets Ltd., aims to enhance its global biometric identity solutions, expanding its reach across multiple regions.
WLD token saw a price increase following the announcement, with some reports indicating a 31% rise, as it became one of the top cryptocurrency gainers. The funding is part of a broader strategy for global expansion.
The capital infusion will support the World Network’s global expansion by scaling its biometric devices infrastructure, increasing the Orbs count from 1,600 to 9,100 by 2025. The fund will also introduce innovations in biometric identity tech.
Experts anticipate that the funding will catalyze worldwide adoption of digital identities. These initiatives could potentially revolutionize online transactions, ensuring authenticity between humans and AI, a growing concern in the digital space.
World Network’s focus on digital identity solutions showcases a convergence between identity validation and blockchain tech. As the digital landscape evolves, the demand for secure and reliable identity verification escalates, positioning the project for substantial growth.
