OKX Ventures Sees Potential in AI Agents
OKX Ventures is the investment arm of the leading cryptocurrency exchange. The company invested significantly in cryptocurrency projects throughout the year, pursuing a very diverse portfolio. According to report new, the company has invested more than 100 million USD in 2024 in 60 projects.
Regarding predictions, OKX Ventures believes that 2025 will be the year of AI agents.

AI agents have attracted a lot of attention in the cryptocurrency industry, and it is not surprising that the company wants to explore their potential. Many leading industry experts have predicted that AI agents will become more prominent by 2025, but OKX has only made a handful of investments in this space to date.
The company has focused on other crypto segments more than AI and has hardly gone after specific agents.
However, in its 2025 report, OKX Ventures was clearer about its focus on AI agents. The report asserts that these instruments will “gradually become significant entities in the market,” and could reach $1.8 trillion by 2030.
In the short term, the company predicts that the closest advances will be in agent interactions and improved user interfaces. While OKX has identified interesting trends with AI agents, their report focuses more on specific data rather than speculation.
In a discussion with TinTucBitcoin, Jeff Ren made some notable observations about inter-agent interactions and their risks. He asserted that decentralized community participation will be an important safeguard along with governance.
However, OKX has not announced any specific plans for AI agents in the near future. The founder of Star Xu has teased a new secret trading line that will be launched by the exchange in February. There is no word yet whether this is related to any AI-based developments.
In total, AI agents have seen strong growth in the market. As of January 2025, AI agent tokens have a total market capitalization of nearly $16 billion. This is an impressive roadmap, considering that the AI agency segment did not exist a year ago.
